Group ProjectSmall Groups and Sunday School Classes: Does your small group go out together to share a meal? Instead of going to a restaurant, meet at your church or someone’s home for sandwiches. As a group go to the website and donate the money that you would have spent at restaurant to buy meals for starving children. $30 equates to 176 meals and will feed 6 children for a month. In addition to your donation to purchase meals, give a little to help fund our meal-packing event on April 16 – 17, 2010 in Tulsa. Lastly, challenge everyone to think of two other people to contact to see if they will organize their small group to provide meals for starving children. Please help us contact as many people as possible to be a part of the honor of saving little lives in the name of Christ. Families:Do you want to educate your family about poverty and hunger while at the same time making periodic sacrifices to help save starving children? Go to Limit Consumption and find a few things that you can sacrifice in order to free-up money to buy life-saving meals. Churches: Designate a Sunday of teaching, praying, and giving for the lives of the world’s poorest children. You may want to host a mobile meal-packing event at your church. If not, participate in giving or donate your time packing meals at the Tulsa meal-packing event on April 16 – 17, 2010. Youth Groups: Take the message of starving children to the schools your youth attend. Organize fund-raising projects to purchase meals for the Tulsa meal-packing event. Volunteer to pack meals at the Tulsa event on April 16th or 17th. We need 5000 people to donate 2 hours of their time. You also may want to lead your own family by getting them together to choose ways to limit your consumption and free-up money to give. Companies and Business Groups: Your company or business group can work together in a different, but very meaningful way. Organize your company or group and volunteer at the meal-packing event in Tulsa on March 27-28th. We need a total of 5000 people to donate 2 hours of their time. Schools: Give your students a world awareness project geared to educating them on severe poverty and hunger. Organize a group to pack meals at the Tulsa meal-packing event on the weekend of April 16 - 17, 2010. |
